Children's Hands On Museum LOTT Wet Science Center The WET Science Center offers exhibits, displays, games, and activities for people of all ages. Northwest Trek Wildlife Park Olympia Heritage Park - Splash Fountain Puget Sound Estuarium The Puget Sound Estuarium is a great place for introducing kids to the Puget Sound environment. It provides numerous activities all year long such as "Pier Peer" at Boston Harbor. Tumwater Falls Park Multiple foot trails along the both sides of Deschutes River connected by foot bridges over the river. Depending on the time of year you can view returning salmon using the fish ladder to by pass the main falls. Also in the spring, at the fish hatchery at the top of the falls, you can see thousands of chinook fries being readied to be released to return to the ocean. Tumwater Historical Park Located just south of Capitol Lake, on the Deschutes River below the Tumwater Falls, this park has a great new kids playground, in addition to picnic tables, and walking trails along the river, one of which heads upstream to nearby Tumwater Falls Park and the chinook salmon hatchery.
